National Writing Project

This website works with schools to design programs that improve the teaching of writing. It also hosts a broad range of online opportunities for teachers and students to engage and learn.

This is a perfect resource for both teachers and students. It not only offers tips for teaching writing/writing instruction, but it also offers ideas for writing assessment.

Kidblog

This website is a great platform for students to share their work on. It allows students to connect with one another by offering feedback from both their peers and teachers. It is designed to be student-centered, so they are encouraged to take ownership in their learning and writing.

This is a great publishing tool as it is not as public as others. It is a great way to introduce publishing in the classroom for students who want someone close to them to read their work.

Reading Rockets

This website is an additional source I personally wanted to add for students and parents. It provides an abundance of articles for writing instruction and learning.

It is kid-friendly, so students are able to look into these articles if they'd like. Parents can find ways to encourage and improve writing skills at home. Teachers are also able to find articles that mention classroom strategies for writing instruction.
